I meditate on the waves. As I inhale, puraka, i watch
the wave build and grow. Feeling Prana and Shakti pulse in my being I Pause at the top, kumbhaka, until it crests and topples over as I exhale and release. The
waves and my breath continue in this fashion, rising and falling, rushing in, rushing out, energizing and purifying.
I am focusing on the exhale-rechaka- the
releasing and letting go.
Watching the lines of whitewash rushing and tumbling in
against shore, become quiet, and then gracefully dissolve back into the Ocean of Being. I too shall be more like the waves.
Find one thing to meditate on this week. Maybe a candle flame, a baby sleeping, the sunset, the clouds....... Spend five minutes in silence and stillness observing. Allow the insights and inner wisdom to bubble up and speak to you. Reflect on this feeling of Dharana- single pointed concentration.
